Standard #3: Public Speaking
1. The student leader acknowledges the audience and purpose of the occasion and adapts speech and content accordingly.
I am able to demonstrate my public speaking skills during noontime activities by using proper microphone techniques and dialogue. During Club Rush Week, the clubs were using the Tracy High quad during lunchtime to allow students to sign up. During this time, me and my activities co-commissioner were also outside with a speaker playing music and making announcements. These announcements included information such as examples of clubs they could sign up for, the duration of club rush week, etc.

I have created a portfolio through my Weebly website and have created a typed resume which I have even used for job applications and as an aspect of my job-shadowing project for the Ag/Science Academy.

Leadership class has many opportunities for teamwork and team bonding. In our committees, councils, and classes, we are able to use teamwork to get things done quicker and more efficiently. On the day of the Homecoming Night Rally, the rally committee that I was apart of worked together during the school day to set up the Tracy High Backdrop as well as the class backdrops. We worked together to set up and prep the speakers, mics and help the MCs, so we could have the best night rally possible.

I attended leadership development day where Tracy High leadership, Kimball High leadership, and West High leadership all came together. We all were able to meet new people from the other two schools and form groups where we worked together to each our goals for the day. We shared things about yourselves and our school and learned from other. We participated in activities and developed individually and interpersonally. As well as met each of the personal and social development standards.

5. The student leader self-evaluates, solicits peer and advisor feedback, and makes adjustments to goals, behavior and processes as necessary.
During second semester, the Tracy High Leadership class self-evaluated and peer-evaluated ourselves through a handout we were given in order to determine our areas of strength and areas of improvement.

Throughout the year, I have been able to meet and get to know people in and outside of leadership because of the opportunities the leadership class has handed to me.

I have participated and fundraised for various organizations and programs. Fundraisers I have been a participant in include Vertical Raise for Tracy High Cheer and Dance, Vertical Raise for Tracy High Leadership, Caramel Apples and Pie fundraisers for Tracy High Cheer and Dance and many more. A majority of my fundraising profits come from digital advertising, such as posting on Instagram or by messaging and emailing relatives and friends. My mom is the Tracy High Cheer and Dance Fundraising Coordinator, so I have been able to be in the center of a few fundraiser. For example, for the Tracy High Cheer and Dance Candy Apple Fundraiser, we distributed the caramel candy apples from my own home, which I played a large part of.
